Risk Disclaimer

Last updated October 5, 2026

Trading is risky. Trading stocks, options, futures, forex and crypto involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for everyone. You can lose some or all of your money, and in some products more than you put in. Only trade with money you can afford to lose.

TraderMemo is just a journal

TraderMemo is a simple record-keeping tool: you write down trades you've already made, and it organizes them. It does not place trades, connect to your broker, give signals or alerts to buy or sell, manage money, or tell you what to do. Every trading decision is yours alone.

Not advice

Nothing on this website or in the app — including statistics, charts, calendars, rule meters, economic and earnings data, notes, reviews, examples or our founder's story — is investment, financial, trading, legal or tax advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything. We don't recommend any broker, prop firm, product or strategy. We are not a broker, investment adviser or financial institution. If you need advice, talk to a qualified professional.

We're not responsible for trading losses

To the fullest extent the law allows, TraderMemo and its owners are not responsible for any losses or damages that come from your trading or financial decisions — including trading losses, missed opportunities, failed or closed prop firm accounts, evaluation or reset fees, or lost profits — whether or not your decision was based on anything you saw in TraderMemo. You use TraderMemo, and trade, entirely at your own risk.

Stats and calculations can be wrong

Every number TraderMemo shows — net P&L, win rate, profit factor, expectancy, drawdown, R multiples, streaks and more — is calculated only from what you enter. Typing mistakes, missing trades, rounding, time-zone differences or software bugs can make them wrong. They describe the past and are a guide for your own review, not a reliable basis for future decisions. Always check important figures against your broker's official statements.

Prop firm rule meters are estimates

The profit target, daily loss, drawdown and other meters on the Prop side are rough estimates based on the rules and trades you enter. Prop firms calculate their rules in their own ways (for example intraday or end-of-day trailing drawdown, fees and commissions), and they change their rules. Always rely on your prop firm's own dashboard and rules — never on TraderMemo — to know whether you're close to breaking a rule. TraderMemo isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any prop firm or broker; their names are trademarks of their owners and appear only so you can label your own accounts.

Past results don't predict future results

Past performance — yours, anyone else's, or anything shown on this site — does not guarantee future results.

Stories, reviews and examples

The founder's story and old trade screenshots on our Our Mission page, and the reviews on our home page, describe individual experiences. They are not typical results and are not a promise that you'll make money or improve. The live demo uses generated sample trades and charts — not real trades or real performance.

Market data

Economic event times, forecasts and earnings dates come from third parties and can be delayed, revised or wrong. Confirm them with official sources before acting on them.
