Cookie Policy

Last updated October 5, 2026

TraderMemo uses only what it needs to work: a few essential cookies to keep you signed in and to protect the site, plus storage in your own browser for your journal. There are no advertising cookies, no tracking cookies and no cross-site tracking. Because everything we use is strictly necessary, we don't show a cookie banner.

Cookies

Sign-in cookies (from our sign-in provider)Keep you signed in and confirm it's really youUntil you sign out or your session ends (up to a few months if you stay signed in)
Security cookies (from our hosting provider)Tell people apart from bots and block attacks; if you're shown a security check, remember that you passed itFrom 30 minutes up to a few days

When you open checkout or the billing page, you're on Stripe's own site (stripe.com), and Stripe sets its own cookies to prevent fraud and process your payment. Those are covered by Stripe's cookie policy.

Storage in your browser (not cookies)

These stay on your device and are never sent to us:

WhatWhyHow long
Your journal (browser database named tradermemo)Your trades, screenshots, voice notes, prop accounts and profileUntil you delete it (Backup → Delete everything) or clear your browser's site data
Preferences (local storage starting with tm-)Small settings like your currency symbol, date range, Personal/Prop side and when you last made a backupUntil you clear your browser's site data
Session storageTemporary screen state while a tab is openUntil you close the tab

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the essential sign-in cookies, you won't be able to sign in. Clearing your browser's data for tradermemo.com also deletes your journal, because that's where it lives — download a backup first (Backup → Download backup).

Changes

If we ever add a cookie that isn't essential, we'll update this page first and ask for your permission where the law requires it.
